JESUS
The God Who Knows You
By Your Name
For 33 years Jesus felt everything that we have ever felt: weakness, weariness, rejection. His feelings got hurt. His feet grew tired. His head ached.
To think of Jesus in such terms almost seems irreverent. It is much easier to keep the humanity out of the incarnation. Clean up the manure from around the manager. Pretend he never angered or hit his thumb with a hammer. There is something about keeping Jesus divine that keeps him distant, packaged and predictable. But we have to remember that the people who saw Jesus first...saw him first as a person.
It is through Jesus the HUMAN, that we are invited to see God and hear His voice. If we want to know what matters to God all we need to do is look in the Bible to see what matters to Jesus. If we want to know what God is doing in our world today, we need only ponder the words of Jesus. By learning more about who the person Jesus was and is, we come to understand more clearly the people we were created to be.
Jesus inspires us to spend more time at the foot of the cross and search the heart of the one who would rather die for us than live without us.
Please take time, one a week, for 6-weeks, to see Jesus as God, as a Friend, as a Physician, as a Teacher, as a Miracle Worker, as one who Loves You so much, he Sacrificed his Life for YOU.
Come Learn Who JESUS is To YOU!!
A REAL PERSON.
CHILDREN GROWING
IN THEIR FAITH
Thursday's @ 10am
Every Thursday our Pre-Schoolers and P-Kindergarten classes gather with our Pastor for a special time of story, songs, Bible Readings and questions. This is a wonderful time for our a young folk to grow in their relationship with God and with one another. From age 3 to 5 they learn about both the Old and New Testament stories of the Bible and how they apply to their every day lives.
In the summer our Summer Program youth, ages 5-11 gather on Fridays with our Pastor for a thematic study that is Scripture based and learn how to apply it to their
everyday lives.
In this time they usually have a video study, Bible Study, discussion time, song, and Bible Challenge which follows.
